Has anyone given birth to a hitter?

DS (2) hits all the time. He is not in daycare so he didn't learn it from there. He'll just walk up and pop one of us in the face or wherever. He throws stuff at us. I don't know what is going on. He's really a good child except for this. He doesn't have to have a reason to pop someone, he just hauls off and knocks you. I'm purely exhausted with it.
