Do you have a landline phone in your house or do you strictly use a cell phone?

Just curious. We've been having some major problems with our landline this past week, excessive static and such. We just put our house up for sale and a phone that you can barely hear on is NOT a good thing. We thought of disconnecting it or switching to a different service like Vonage but we're hoping to be moving by the end of July ( we have a contract on a place to go to just need a contract on the place we're in) so we'll suffer and wait the TWO WEEKS the phone company says it will be before someone is here to fix it. Which is just ridiculous to me!! Mad Evil or Very Mad Mad Evil or Very Mad

We have both. Sometimes I wish we ONLY had the cell phone but I don't know how the internet thing would work without a landline. I have to have the internet. Embarassed

Our internet is through our cable company...for now anyways. When we move that may not be an option we're not sure. But I refuse to return to dial up so it may have to come through satelite which can be expensive I think.
And cell service doesn't work there either so only cell phones won't be an option either & we'll have to have the landline.

Cell only. When the kids get older we are thinking of getting land lines for when they are home alone or just an extra cell. Not sure yet. With where we are, it is long distance to anyone except our bank and the library.

My cell is prepaid, Jason has a prepaid too but he was also given a really nice phone & plan that his company pays for. So if we're out together we use it instead of the pre-paid. Our kids don't have cell phones yet but if/when they get one it will be pre-paid and once those minutes are up oh well!!

I never thought of the pre-paid. I have kinda been looking at those that they can only call certain numbers and 911. that way they won't be on the phone all the time.
