*Topic of the Week* - Is it better to stay in an unhappy relationship for the children or get a divorce?

If you are unhappy in a relationship it will spread into your relationship with your children. No by all means if a person is unhappy they need to get out for the children!!

i say get out dont stay for the kids.the kids will be fine in the long run..why stay for the kids they will move out and you will still be there plus they will think back and say well mom and dad always fussed and mom was never happy you know things like that

:confused: I honestly don't know but I can kind of see both sides. But wtih that said I do agree that parents who think they are staying for the kids, making it easier on teh kids, etc. usually AREN'T. Kids are smarter then you think and they know if you aren't happy. They can tell when something is going on and will look back later in life and think "why did they do that to each other?" and so on. so I guess I don't think it's better to stay for the kids. But that is after you've worked your tail off, tried everything you can try to save a marriage. Not just decide you don't want to play house anymore and walk out.
